Without getting into too much detail, this morning I suffered an anxiety attack that came in two waves over the course of 45 minutes.
I`d never experienced anything like that before and it really freaked me out. I’m now curious about panic attacks and have been reading about them online. Seems this attack was pretty textbook: surge of overwhelming emotion, extreme difficulty breathing (hyperventilation), choking sensation, trembling, feeling unreal.
Although the duration of a panic attack can vary, it typically lasts for more than 10 minutes, and is one of the most distressing conditions that a person can experience. Its symptoms can closely mimic those of a heart attack. Typically, most people who have one panic attack will have others. Sadly, many people with panic attacks do not seek or receive treatment. I will call the doc tomorrow.
According to Wikipedia, panic disorder occurs most frequently in women with above-average intelligence. I find this interesting and|or flattering.

In other news, I`ve been making a stop-motion video from my window at work over the last number of months. If my camera battery weren`t dead, I`d post a sneak-peek photo. Instead, here`s a random I took of a roller coaster:
I`m usually above-average happy so I dunno what happened this morning. Such is life I guess.
