On Monday, Indians are going to celebrate Holi! Type Holi into Google and you can get more information…
Yes, but I want to hear about it from you. Tell me more!
It is a festival of colours, a festival of happiness. People celebrate by throwing water and colours on each other. It’s celebrated in the day and gets finished by the evening. People enjoy this festival by distributing sweets, and on this day people get drunk too. Holi is primarily a festival of Hindus but it is popular amongst non-Hindus as well. It’s also celebrated in Nepal. At times this festival is known for love because people get together and greet each other. They play, eat, and drink together and the festival helps remove grudges as well. The date of the festival is not fixed, it’s decided per the Hindu calendar. It’s usually celebrated in March when the full moon appears. India is the land of festivals and every community has its own festival. Best part is that every community celebrates each other’s festival!
